Pauline Kanana
Chief Executive Officer & CoFounder
Kanana is an experienced design and strategy lead and a seasoned trainer and mentor in the design innovation space, who is passionate about young people in Africa. She leverages multi-disciplinary design strategies and tools as a catalyst for innovation in academia, private and public sectors and local and global organizations to promote impact-driven and community-led solutions that lead to positively long-lasting social, economic and environmental development locally and globally.
Kanana co-founded and directed Nairobi Design Institute (NDI), the first design innovation school in the region that fostered design talent based on human-centered design practices to create innovative and effective user experiences that address Africa’s biggest challenges. She is also a design lead at Proportion Global and SpaceAI.
