IDI's Role & Contribution

IDI serves as Action Lab’s research, design, and innovation partner—bringing a holistic practice grounded in human-centred principles, behavioural insights, systemic thinking, and service design to shape opportunities, translate evidence into action-oriented insights, and co-create solutions that can be implemented responsibly.

The Problem

Three interlocking failures created a system where continuity of care was structurally impossible.

Our Approach

We align IDI’s Learn → Create → Empower model with Action Lab’s cyclical delivery approach—Identify → Design → Build → Deploy → Scale—combining research and ecosystem mapping, co-design, prototyping, and implementation support, guided by Action Lab’s principles of safety, security, trustworthiness, inclusivity, and sustainability in AI and emerging technologies.

Project Outcome & Impact

Sector priorities translate into durable, implementation-ready systems—validated for real-world adoption, deployed with partners, and positioned for scaling across communities, institutions, and markets. Together, we co-convene and co-deliver public-value innovation programs which attracted over 30 projects cutting across public and private sector, and academia.
