OUR ROLE

IDI's Role & Contribution

IDI serves as a technical partner and process facilitator—designing and guiding a government-led, multi-stakeholder policy journey. IDI convenes diverse actors, structures participation, synthesises evidence and stakeholder inputs, and translates perspectives into clear, policy-relevant outputs.

Our Approach

IDI applies a participatory, evidence-based, sovereignty-first approach that combines international benchmarking with deep contextualisation to Kenya’s socio-economic realities and institutional capacity. Through structured facilitation, thematic working groups, and rapid drafting, IDI helps move discussions from principles to actionable policy components, systematically integrating cross-cutting issues such as inclusion, ethics, data governance, capacity development, and environmental sustainability.
